What are research peptides?

Are peptides legal in the UK?
Many peptides can be lawfully sold in the UK as research chemicals, provided they are not marketed or supplied as medicines. Medicines are regulated by the MHRA, and some peptides are on the WADA Prohibited List. Our article Are peptides legal in the UK? covers this in detail.
How to judge quality: HPLC and COA
Every Peptides UK batch is HPLC-verified and comes with a Certificate of Analysis (COA). Whoever you buy from, check that:
- the COA matches the batch number on your vial;
- purity is measured by HPLC, with identity confirmed by mass spectrometry;
- the test date is recent and the lab is named;
- the product is sold clearly for research use, without health claims.
